BOILED RICE (with microwave)

I love this way of boiling rice, it is easy, clean, and always cooked at its best! 

INGREDIENTS 


- You need a container, suitable for microwave, in my case I use a glass salad bowl
- Rice
- Salt 
- Water

STEPS
(These amounts serve two persons)

Put some oil in the microwavable container


Add some salt (you can also use a chicken or vegetable stock instead of Salt)


Measure one glass of rice 


And add it to the microwavable container where you have the oil and Salt


Measure two glasses and a half of water 


And add them to the container with the rice and rest of the ingredients


Stir everything well till the water turns murky. This is because rice releases starch, so don't worry! It's normal!


Then program the microwave, full power


Between 15-18 minutes (this depends on how powerful your microwave is, try 15 minutes first, if you see that there is liquid remaining in the middle, you can program  some extra minutes) it is not necessary to  cover the container


When time is over, leave the microwave closed during 5 minutes, rice needs to settle! Be careful when you take it out of the microwave, the container IS VERY HOT!!


And ready! You can use your rice as a side for other dishes, or in other recipes!
